Go with Magnaflow, you will not be disapointed. I have magnaflow on my non */c car 3800 and my friend has magnaflow on his l67(muffler and cat), sounds great on both, mine is not poppy, neither is his.

If anyone knows, its willwren, he knows best. I took his advice on magnaflow, now I will never want anything else, it just sounds too darn good. After my friend hear my non */c, he went right for it also with his L67, he is very happy.

It'* very important to make this clear. Your muffler wouldn't sound the same on his car.

The only car i heard Edelbrocks on was my dads old 94 Buick Roadmaster (LT1) and it sounded amazing... much better than magnaflow/borla/flowmaster, nice, deep, smooth sound....

as said before how it will sound on a 3800 is unknown, but likely mediocre like any other muffler

I've heard a Magnaflow high flow cat, 2.5-3" adpater and then 3" out to a Mangaflow dual outlet muffler. That'* on a 1997 L67. It sounds really clean and mellow on startup, but because there'* no resonator, there'* a lot of popping on acceleration. At the drag strip, someone in the audience wondered out loud if a V8 was put in the Bonneville. That doesn't mean the sound is like a V8. I interpret it to show that others notice what I have heard, and that is the exhaust becomes extremely loud and raspy after around 3,000 rpm. Please get a resonator if you go through with the aftermarket muffler.

I have heard an Edelbrock muffler on a 95 LeSabre. Granted it was an L27 and not an L67, but it sounded nice. Compared between a Flowmaster and a MagnaFlow, it sounded more like a Flowmaster with the deep throaty sound but a little mellower.

Myself, I run a Flowmaster 80 Series that replaced the MagnaFlow I had on there previously. I wouldn't have it any other way. I DID choose to go with MagnaFlow on my DD (S10) for the quietness. It all comes down to personal preference and what your needs are.
