Bill, I pulled a cat on a few cars I had and never had a problem. I ran a catco high flow on a few cars of mine and had 1 out of 2 actually glow red and plug up and removed it and never had a check engine light. I'm not sure if these bonneville'* are more sensitive or not than other models of chevy.
