Can we do a dual muffler exhaust like a GP? I was thinking of going that route. Is it any better? As in going to a y pipe, then to dual mufflers?
yes just do it were the exhaust goes to the left and around to the muffler. put hte y there and run new piping tothe new mufflers. you will need to make hangers for the mufflers though. I really dont think that there is any performance gain, but may have a deeper tone
which is always good

i know it looks like it should sound good, but i just feel like that might be a little to free-flowing. With the 3.8 it sounds raspy with too much outflow.. i, personally, wouldn't worry about that unless you have some performance mods to back it up. Looks hott though.

Well i do plan to have more mods to back it up, I am planning on doing either an S1X or VS cam in the next couple of months. I have the ported manifold. But besides that, it seems like more of a clean setup for some reason. If not dual mufflers, I plan on running 3" piping, from the header back, so the DP, Cat, and flex pipe. I was looking at the flowmaster 40 series, it looks like it would fit. I am looking for a very agressive sound, so either 40 series, or 80 series with no resonator.
