Default Deciding on an Engine

I'm deciding on a new engine.

My friend says that the Ford Modular 5.4L V8 is a really fast, really durable engine. It'* in the Ford Lightning and the Ford GT as well as the 2000 Cobra R and the 2007 Shelby GT500. It produces 300HP stock with a $4350 pricetag. Not too bad.

I've been looking at the LS7. My friend is quite biased so it is hard to tell when he is telling the truth or not. He claims that the LS7 has smaller cylinder walls and will not be able to handle a strong twin turbo and other engine modifications. The LS7 produces 505HP in the Chevy Corvette Z06 but I'm not sure if that'* just because it'* in the Corvette. I am also unsure of the price.

If you had an unlimited amount of money and the desire for boost (and mods), what would you put in a 2001 SSEi?

If I had an unlimited amount of money I'd put the ford engine in a mustang, and wouldn't waste my time trying to put either into a bonne.

If you absolutely must put one of those into a bonne though. Id go with the vette engine. It costs a ton for a reason. Also I prefer GM to ford (my family has had nothing but bad experiences with ford). But I'd have to agree... 5 grand into a 3800 will get you the same results as spending a ton on either one of those engines. Just check out intense racings dual turbo grand prix. It runs 9'*, granted they spent way more than 5000 on it, if you had an unlimited amount of money I'd run a modded L67, just way easier, and will give close to the same amount of power. And be more fuel efficient... not that thats a concern with unlimited money.

I plan on beefing up either the LS7 or the 5.4L. I don't know if the cylinders on the LS7 are small though, I don't want to buy the engine, buy the twin turbo, and then destroy both.

I believe turbo LS7s already exsist.

None the less, this all sounds very familiar:
