Default twisty air things/ jake brakes

ok on twisty air things heres the facts ppl they will not do you any good on a supercharger because right before your throttel body there is a screen that straten the air out not only that but the blower itself would push the air strate anyway .....as far as the concept itself for carb car'* it'* sound to a point more air more power the spin put on the air let'* the air travel a bit faster into the carb, hope that helps .....now just for those of you who want to know a jake brake works by shutting off the exhaust vavles on the engin there by causing major back pressure , i.e. causing major compression ok that'* how it work'* hope it helps and i must say if you know of crappy thing'* that dont work tell us why ok ......

I don't know about that, but I have seen cans w/coils of gas line used to hold ice and cool the fuel. The theory behind that is that you'll get a denser shot of fuel. I suppose that it'* one of those temporary gains that the computer will learn to negate with time. Might work better with a carb?

Default arith-myth-tic

Ok, this isn't a specific myth about a specific product. But how about the myth of power add-on'*...

So I bought this widget, good for 5 hp. Then this other good for 10 hp. Then another for 5 hp. All of these gadgets (legit or not, isn't the point) are bolted to my 240 hp L67, so I automatically now have 260hp.

I can't tell you how much this bugs me when I talk to my buddy with the impala SS. He'* never turned a wrench in his life, but swears he'* added 20 HP to his car, because the ads say so, and it would be illegal to advertise if it weren't true. This guys in law school too folks. Makes me worried he might get a job as a supreme court justice some day.

Yeah lots of ricers tend to do that.

They get some spark plug wires think thats 10,Intake 15, Muffler 20 and think they have 45 extra horsepower good enough to take down Zo6'*.

you mean to tell me youd put up a stock external coil, breaker point system vs. a stock hall-effect system with coil-in-cap? theres no way, in other words you are wrong. couldnt be more wrong!
