okay, this isn't a performance thing, but...

manually downshifting your transmission is not bad for it! really! honestly!

<edit> it is a myth after all...

How about the magnet that you put around your fuel line to help atomize the fuel while it'* in the lines? I wish I could find a URL but food is more important right now

oh yeah the magnet thing. Gas is nonpolar so magnets do absolutly nothing.

If that'* the item that Casper'* sells, it does work, but it really isn't designed for N/A engines. It was initially developed for boosted engines, specifically the GN'*. The idea is: if you get into detonation or knock problems during a full zoot run, you can back down the throttle a little and still stay in fuel enrichment mode. It does work for that application, and I have one on my turbo motor. If it is sold as a performance booster, I agree it really isn't, it'* more of a bandaid for a system out of balance.
