Default convertor

I just picked up a high flow convertor from a local parts store, they say its a dynomax pt# 15038 but it comes in a generic box and doesn't say dynomax on it. I looked it up online and the part number and price matches the one on the dyno max website. i was just wondering if i'm getting hosed before i put it in.

Let me make sure I have this right.

You bought something in a generic box from your parts store. You've looked it up and everything seems to match, now you are wondering if you are getting hosed.

Why would you think that?

Honestly if that converter was more than $55, I'd bring it back and buy a Magnaflow on Ebay shipped to my door for $55

Catalytic converters are required by FEDERAL law, not by local requirements or statutes.

Didja know that if someone you know finds out you don't have a cat and turns you in, the EPA will pay them $250? You'll get hit yourself for $2500 minimum IIRC.

I put the canvertor on this weekend, i got it for really cheap through my work (and i don't have to pay at this time) i fiquered if the numbers match dynomax'* website then it must be a high flow. The exhaust is throatier and i do notice i slight difference in acceleration. I'm going to take it to NED this friday night for the first time.

my old cat was almost plugged up and i'm gonna sell it to some people that come around the shop and buy used convertors for the platinum. They usually give between 50 and 100 dollars fro a cat this side, so i am going to make money by replacing it
