Default COLd air intake??

I've been wanting to mod my 00' and a friend suggested a cold air intake to start? I've looked around and found nothing, just items for GA'*, GP'*, and TA'*
1st, is a cold air intake a good starter way to go or should I go for somehting else? I have a small budget and looking for the cheaper route to start. also
does anyone know if the CAI kits for the Grand prix fit the bonneville OR were I can find one that will

For the 00+, I would reccommend a INTENSE FWI.

But if you are going the cheaper route, just drop a K&N in the stock airbox.
