Well the SSE/i tails will fit my SE right? is it really that easy of a swap?
Im not too sure of what type of bulb we need....but this site has red bulbs for most applications.

Their phone number is 1-877-FBI-MINI

I found this out when i was searching everywhere for red bulbs for my nissan cause i have clear tailights on it, but decided to buy some LED'* instead.

Yep SSE/i tails are a direct fit, they just have the black lines going accross them. You posted right when i was gonna. It'* not worth it to buy new bulbs IMHO, just get the gel really cheap, and then you can use it on whatever lights you want, inside or what.

I'm a GXP Member now yay!! Although i'd prefer the member thing to be customized to what vehicle you drive... Like everyone who has an SE has SE etc... Maybe the option to have Crosslace member too..

Couldnt you use a polish that is made for plastic/plexiglass to remove the haze marks? I know Select Products sells a polish for plastics and plexilass. Also is it just like a red film or the lense itself is red.

So I just have to buy SSE/i Light covers, and they will be clear?

EDIT- I can't find any on Ebay... Should I just go to the local junkyard?

Ha, but wouldnt the ink get hot enough to burn?
Before i got LEDS in my nissan i used the "Lense repair tape" to cover my bulbs and it melted in some spots ending up with tiny speckles of white shining through the clear housing. although it did last close to a month or so...

Just jump on ebay and order some red bulbs. Make sure the glass is actually staained red and not just colored like APC'*. Thats way itll last alot longer as red and not turn into a pink color after like a month. Eurolite and a couple of people off of ebay have good lights.

SSE tails will be the same, too. Remember there are two different year splits. 92-95 are all the same, then 96-99 are all the same.

If you want red bulbs, go to a hobby shop, and buy the red clearcoat you put over a another paint to make 'candy apple'. It'* translucent. Paint your bulbs. I did this with my A-pillar gauge bulbs to make them match the rest of the dash.

has anyone tried to "clear" the trunk lid mounted lights on an SSE or SSEi? If so, how do you get them apart without wrecking them?
