Chip
I just spoke with darth fiero(www.gmtuners.com) about getting a basic chip done.
I couldn't really find an affordable dyno around me so i just decided to get a basic chip burned with only a few changes.
I'm gonna do this:
Raise my warmed up idle to 1100 rpm
Raise my shift points to 6100 rpm
Raise my rev limiter to 6200 rpm
Advance my timing by 3 degrees
And removed speed limiter.
Nothing too crazy, just wanna raise my shifts a little and advance the timing a bit.
Probably gonna catch some heat for not getting a dyno done but i think i kept it pretty basic.
Watchya think?

I checked out GM tuners also. If I knew EXACTLY what I wanted it would work great.
If I knew exactly what the othr guys do I could apply it.
It'* interesting to read his website. He seems brutally honest about himself and
other Chip burners. Please post the results of your dealings with GM tuners afterwords.
Also, was the 3 degrees of timing a guess ? Why not 5 ? How did you come up with that number ?

Trans line pressure and shift firmness can be controlled electronically with the PCM changes even with the 4T60E. My Jet Stage 2 chip in my 93 SSEi has raised my line pressure to above factory specs, even with 110k on the trans. DrJay, too.

I had shot him a couple emails when I was in the process of learning out the eprom programming.. and he was really nice. He was incredibly honest, and it was very suprising, because I could have easily taken the information he gave me, and used it to make some money, and take away some from him. But, I really don't know much about you guy'* ECM'* and such.. beyond me, mine only shoots an SES light and gives me ignition.. that'* really all mine does. [sarcastic yes, but in all truth.. it doesn't control a whole lot more].
