CAI Question

On the site pureperformancefever.com there is a CAI for the 92-95 Bonneville. I looked at it and its seems like it would be to short to work efficantly. Or would it be ok, if I were to build a heat box around it? I was just wondering..

really its not a CAI is something that deflects heat by mean of a cai box of some sort
