CAI operation, help me get this straight

Default CAI operation, help me get this straight

colder denser air makes the car perform better right? So why is the throttle body even heated to begin with? emissions?

Well, the car needs to run within certain operating temps. It can't run too cold.

Well, i heard that gm didnt want the throttle body to possibly freeze in the winter, so they had coolant circulate through it to keep it warm.
