Many people prefer the Intense FWI (fenderwell intake), on Intense'* site located in the link section at the top of the page.

Agreed most people do prefer the Intense FWI. But speaking solely for myself I don't like the look of the FWI. So I did a rice pipe with a K&N instead.

Go into search and at the top of the page and type in Rice Pipe.

Just my opinion though.

I opted for a CAI because I'm a bit more weary when modding.

1.) I live in Michigan ... weather is terribly unpredictable. You obviously know this.
2.) With a CAI, the filter stays cleaner.
3.) Sure, a FWI might give you a few more HP at most, but a CAI does the job.

What brand and do you have any pics and is it in the engine bay with a shield type? I was looking in the fender and how do you fit a 9in K&N cone in there it doesn't seem that big.

We have cooler air most of the time here in MI

I have the Thrasher CAI. If I had the choice I wouldn't buy it again, because there are cheaper options out there. But, they are well built and look nice too. They do make 'em for Bonnies.

Thanks Sol

Rice pipe ?? please give more info? What is it?
I tried looking for examples but didn't find any.

I think I might try to make something to put in the fender using some 3.5in exhuast pipe.
