Yes, and quite well. Whatever air can't make it through the radiator goes around the side of it. Into your cold box.

That wouldnt be 20* worth of heat though, its heating the heatshield, most of his air is not going to touch that part enough to get heated up that much. Try moving the IAT first and see if that makes a difference.

This could help out your KR too.

I'll do one at a time to see what the deal is.
I've still have 8 degrees of KR in the midrange. It tapers off to 0 after 4 or 5k rpms. It gets worse with heat or humidity too. But on the highway i almost never see KR, even with 'spirited runs'.
So, yeah this could help out.

Moving the IAT sensor should help alot, I extended mine all the way into the fender.

FWI would do it, as long as the IAT was properly placed as stated above. And Paul'* advice on a ram feed for the box if you don't FWI is very sound. Mine runs 5° above ambient on hot days now. And it'* not totally sealed. The ram feed is what does it for me.

what is that reflective tape. Is that the same stuff you use on pipes for wood stoves to keep the heat away from the wall. Comes in a roll like duct tape and you can buy it at any hardwarestor or no??

thought so. I am going to do this should help me out some. How did you build your heatsheild. I used plexiglass but it looks like no one else did that. I was thinking of just using that tape on my tube and wrapping my plexiglass also. and i didnt forget about you on those manifolds just had some car trouble and took some money out of me but i should have the money soon if you still have them.
