If you do it man ill give you MAD crazy props....seems some people around here are somewhat against new ideas...BTW id suggest gettin a 4T60E bulletproof tranny from domesticperformance.com if you really plan on doing it.....but its like $3400....also BTW I know of a guy that will sell you a complete engine/tranny SER2 L67 for $1000 with the 4T65E (better) tranny....but then youd just have another supercharged Bonne........also BTW by the end of this winter I may very well have the only Supercharged/Intercooled SER1 L67 powered Bonne (or any car for that matter)

like i have said on many occasions, TT Supra'*(etc.) are the cars that make 700hp and run 12'* while single turbo supras make 650hp and run low 10'*. Heck, a friend of mine has a 10th anniversary supra that ran 11.83 on stock twins with EXCELLENT tuning. He then went the single turbo route (T8 and ran a 10.46 @ 130 on a very poorly tuned setup. What do I know though?

While I respect your friend'* car and his times, that'* not really what I'm going for. Judging by your comment and your avatar, your performance bias is clear. I don't want to sound like an a**hole but I think trying to get a Bonneville to run 10'* is missing the friggin' point. I'm talking about a very respectable daily driver that'* just as easily used for grocery runs as it is for embarrassing and humiliating teenagers with mustangs in front of their girlfriends. And seriously though, what is an L27 shifting at 5800rpm going to do with a T88? Driving at redline constantly might be fun for some but I'm looking for real usable power down low and in the midrange like the touring cars of the world have.

btw, has anyone read of or seen anyone using two different sized turbos as I mentioned above? I'm very curious to find similar examples...

Thanks

Horsepower is good, and its quite possible to massively crank up the HP with a turbo (look at the 3800 horsepower record of almost 700hp done with a turbo) however getting thta to the wheels is a completely different story. Not only do you have the problem of FWD, but you also have that very nice tranny to deal with (or the parts of it anyway, all over the road from even probably 300 horsepower).

Honestly as cool as it would be to do it would be very expensive and hard to tune, if you are really looking for great all around drivability and Mustang smokability look into a SER2 L67 swap...superchargers spool up instantaniousely and will crank out 11 psi boost with only a pulley swap and a CAI...trust me I have a SER1 L67 and a SER2 L67 the SER2 is a better motor, and on top of that SER2 L67 swaps are fairly cheap, as I mentioned above I know of one right now engine and tranny for a grand....if you can do the turbo fab all the tubing fabricate an intercooler and do all the electrical yourself (including a fuel cpu) then you may be able to do it for 1500-2000 but the performance difference wont be worth it and your tranny will chew on peices of itself, 4T65E is also a stronger tranny than the 4T60E in yer SLE....happy tuning

How easily can this be done? And at what cost?

My, it is old. Anyway. it'* already up...

Mate a 4T80 to it. Drivetrain problems solved

yeah yeah so one turbo can be as efficient or better than twin turbos. Who gives a flip? Twins are twins
