I bought the $30 Autozone rotors (Duralast) with Bendix ceramic brake pads. This has worked out well for me, and I sometimes brake really hard. For example, I did a few drag races in about 40 minutes, and the brakes were pretty freaking warm. The fluid didn't boil perhaps due to it being synthetic, and I believe in regular bleeding and "turkey basting" to help keep water out of the brake lines.
