boost: Turbo, Supercharger, or BOTH??
hey everyone, I have heard that some people have double boosted there cars, using both a sc and a turbo. This subject might have been brought up before, but i couldn't find any write-ups on it. The reason I bring it up is because I'm thinking of converting to turbo because I feel like there is more potential with a turbo for the series1, but if the sc can stay on, I think it would make for a lag free setup. I think I already know the answer to my question, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.
It'* been done in many applications, going back to the 1930'*. Several 3800'* have also. But you better tell us what your trans budget is. Judging by your other topic, you're not going to be able to build a FWD trans to do what you want.

your going to need alot of cash for parts and somebody who can tune a car like no other
Its not to expensive to do if you can fab up EVERYTHING. Yor looking at about $1500 or so. You will need something to reprog your PCM, I'm not up the S1 so I don't know..
You will also need to build/desighn a boost controller to operate the */C boost bypass, and the Wastegaste. Sounds easy...but its harder than it sounds.
There are a few custom setups in the works, I got a call today about a member here doing the dual setup, but with an S2. Hopefully I can help with that one
