Default Belt replacement question (without using SEARCH) ---

When I was doing the wires today, I looked at the belt and it looks fine, but, I want to put on the Goodyear Gatorback.

On my '92 SSE, is this a simple operation, or do I have to undo the right side motor mount, etc. ?

Default Bet Replacement

It'* as easy as falling of the front fender after 6 beers..... Just back off the tension on the idler pulley and remove the old belt...... oh yeah ... You might want to sketch a diagram of how the belt(*) thread through the maze of pulleys.

Then just thread the new one in the same manor and release the idler pulley ad voila....

Steve

Digital camera will help instead of sketches....

Thanks.
I'll double check the manuals and go look again at the setup.
(note to self: make sure engine is OFF before sticking fingers in and around pulleys and belt...) :o

On the '92, there'* nothing that needs to be removed. Just apply torque to the tensioner bolt and slip off the old one and then apply torque to the tensioner bolt and slip on the new one.
The belt replacement should take 5 minutes.
