I am not aware of ANY L27 in a RWD format (let alone an L67)...the S1 manifolds flow extremely well as-is, much better than an S2 mani...but what you need to look out for are hairline cracks in L67 manis (L27 manis are the same, but you can find those with almost to no cracks in any boneyard). In fact, S1 manis are pretty close to what a custom header would look like anyways, so why waste the money?

As for the original question, as wilwren said, there is much else to do other than the cam. One thing people forget to look at are lifters. Older lifters, as I discovered when I tore into my motor, fail collapsed...engine will still run, but valve lift is reduced. The computer can compensate somewhat, but nowhere near as good as a replacement set of lifters. Even after cleaning all my lifters, they were still a little mushy...new lifters aren't mushy at all. I would start there if you want more lift out of your valves.

Wrong. The topic author doesn't have a Series 2 motor, which is all they support.

No, they don't. And they never have. I have been aware of them for over 4 years, just like our other vendors.

If anything on their site works on the S1, it'* a common pulley or another simple part like that. They do NOT sell S1 valvetrain parts.

Nothing to be sorry about. We've all made mistakes at one time or another. Just look back at the first 6 months of this Forum when we didn't know ANYthing.

Just trying to be careful here. A cam is a major investment. Buying the wrong one could really hurt the wallet.
