wow, imaginations really run wild with a little time on your hands!
first, the knock was not KR its a bent push rod. the motor had 151,000 miles on it. The chip was installed for over a year at about (120,000) with absolutely no problems. on the other hand, it ran like a bat out of hell when it was installed. with just the chip i increased my 1/4 mile time by almost 1 second.
the oil and Antifreeze leaks had NOTHING TO DO WITH THE CHIP!! ok investigative work, but not that good. if you would keep reading, the oil leak was a timing cover seal. when they fixed that, they had to remove one of the coolant lines going into the intake manifold and broke the O-ring on it when they re-installed it hence the antifreeze leak. then they proceeded to HOSE OFF THE SIDE OF THE ENGINE GETTING MY COIL PACKS WET! JEESH thats what caused the rod to go, because one of my coil adapters burnt out about 2 miles down the road from the garage.
Unfortutnately i dont have a lot of info about the specifics of the chip. hopefully you guys can help? I couldnt find any of the info about the guy as i deleted the email account i used to use. BUT....
I found him on here. Actaully he found us. WE were talking in a thread and he popped up, with his first post, that he could burn chips. i started talking to him via email. he asked for a bunch of scan tool info which i provided for him. Then over the next 6 months i couldnt get any info out of him. WHen i finally threatened his life, (jus kidding), he finally got it done saying its a lot harder then he rememberd.
I dont know his Bonneville Club name but his real name is Dave Buckshaw. i found it buried in my paypal account history. I think hes from the illinois area. detroit or something. that paypal record says his email is dave@buckshaw.com. You can try that but that looks suspicious. and if it does work good luck getting any info from him.
Oh yah HARO, the low speed and high speed fans come on earlier too! forgot about that, that was a huge help for me.

Anyways....I'd be interested in being around when you're at Gordys house. Or if something there doesn't work out I have a scan tool also that we could read it with. Or if you wanna toss it in my car as a test car...Go for it. I have a spare engine coming soon.

yah, i would love to know it'* true potoential too. I would recommend a good tranny tho. I had a 900 HP rated tranny in mine.
the guy i got it from was not a communicator. i wish i had specifics. Its not that i didnt ask, he would not reply to any of my questions, he would only send an email when HE needed information from me. It sucked but he already had my $250. ($300 including the 50 dollar chip i had to provide.) it DID work out in the end tho.
