Default 89 Throttle body size

I'm working on building my intake and was wondering if anyone knows what size tubing I need to fit over the throttle body?

3" works fine.
Go to an exhaust shop and have them bend you a pipe and call it done. If you need to you can get it powder coated for a few bucks. Have fun.

3" is way to big for an 89. Series 2 is 3"....I think the 89 is a bit smaller.

Yes you can go smaller but a 3" will work and like I said an exhaust shop can help you. As unappealing as a kink on the pipe will look if the shop is good they can have the kink on the outside and the inside will be nice and smooth.

go with 3" and somehow clamp it to the tb. I think timsmooth used 3"-3" adapter from home depot.

So will a 3" pipe fit pretty snuggly over the TB or is a different size better?

This is what it looked like.

You can go with a smaller pipe but it is not necssary.
