Default 3.4" Pulley Install

I am looking at putting a 3.4 pulley on my 98 SSEi. I am just trying to get an idea of what kind of other upgrades are recommended to complete this modification. I already have a 180 thermostat, custom exhaust, (mufflers deleted, custom resonator) hollowed out the air box and fitted it with a K&N, and have the boost solenoid in its optimum location. The car is my daily driver and i tend to drive it pretty normally. (Most of the time ) I already took into consideration that i will have to go with a 71.5 blower belt or upsize to a 3.5" tensioner pulley. This should pretty much cover it I would think but i want to get some ideas before i dive in.

the 3.4 SHOULD be ok with the mods that are listed......

we say should because every car is different, some can run a 3.4 with no KR and some have to run a 3.5

You might want to add a set of plugs to that NGK TR55s gapped to 0.55 worked well in my car. Run a scan after you get the pulley on just to make sure .

Based on the mods you mentioned I would think that the 3.4" would be safe since you have freed up both the intake and exhaust.
You should consider intalling an auxilliary transmission cooler.

I will second that aux trany cooler reply. I installed one off of my old 93 SSEi, any bit of cooling helps, trust me..
No ammount of cooling could of saved mine though

I thought a high-flow cat was pretty much a given for the 3.4? All Blown mentioned doing to the exhaust was removing the muffler and resonator. Neither of which have a profound effect on flow right?

Just the point of view of the man with no boost.
