2000 SE needs more ponies
Anyone got any ideas on how to pull more horses out of a 2000 SE? All I've done so far is install a K&N air filter and a Tornado, which has given me a little more pep. But that still only gives me somewhere around 210 HP. I'm not looking to do anything too major, so no turbos or supers or anything too involved. I'm thinking about a cold air induction system if I can find one that fits. I've searched for performance chips, but haven't found anything. I've seen aftermarket mass air flow sensors that are supposed to give another 15 to 25 horses, but know no one who has ever tried one. Any input is greatly appreciated. Please, my baby needs more balls.
Ditto. Do a forum search on Tornado or Vornado (their original trade name). They're half-assed in a carburated car or TB injected, but not in our application. These things are a joke and a half. Sorry you did it. Read the intake modification Tech article. Then read the suggested first mods. Techinfo link at the top of the page.
There is not going to be an aftermarket Mass Air Flow sensor for the car becaues it is built into the Throttle Body. IF you want an idea, just check out the ADTR Bonneville Store.
