Alright, looking around and I didn't have anymore aluminum tubing like i thought I did. So I used the elbow that came with the warm air kit I had, and cut it so it would match up, I went to carquest and bought 2 feet of 3" aluminized exhaust pipe, cut it, and cleaned the insides really well, matched it all up, and painted it, and put it together. SO its aluminum coming off and at the first black joint its steel. So, should that be alright? Heat disappation wise?
thanks

It is actually really really loud. It sounds really sweet, it isn't as loud as under the hood in the low rpm'*, but as the speed picks up its a screamer. I'm pretty impressed actually. I can't get a good recording lol. The black hose I used to couple it all together carquest just had laying there, its made by gates. Not sure what its original intention was for, but it sure found a great home. I had a lot of cold air intakes on NA motors and this one is by far the best ever. Its alot deeper sounding. My 2.8 in my beretta actually got high pitched as rpms go up, this one does, but stays a great mello sound.
Thanks
Craig

I agree with Dan, nice work. Looks like the same thing I paid $200 for.

Thanks guys! I was even thinking lol, maybe I should make them and sell them as cold air kits? lol I would have to have a order set up ahead of time from customers and have the money, there would probably be about a 1 to 1 1/2 week turn around time, from me making it and getting the supplies and kit from ebay and fabricating a kit to resell. I could sell them for 100.00 and make sum profit with buyer paying shipping of like 10.00 Its just a idea. Would I have to be a site vendor or something?

Thanks for the compliments guys! It really turned out great and I'm 110% satisified and proud.

The only problem I would have, is making a 45 degree elbow for where it goes throw the firewall otherwise it would be a good turn out. If anybody hads any roughly 45 degree elbows that is 3" od, let me know. There would have to be patience with ordering and turn around time. 2 weeks tops. But I have to find elbows first.
