Don't go steel on a Series 1. I've seen two steel pulleys fail recently. But not plastic.

Harofreak **** one in his 95, and driverjohn did too in his 92. If you order from pulleyboys you have the option. ZZP has plastic. I don't know what INTENSE sells.

I was wondering why is it that the plastic pulleys are better than the steel ones. I was going to order a steel one. I would like to know why is it that the plastic ones are better for a series one supercharged than a steel one. Please explain to this ignoraimous

Because I have two steel pulleys here. One from Harofreek'* 95 SSEi, one from Driverjohn'* 92 SSEi. Both failed prematurely. Within a month or two.

I've never seen a plastic pulley fail until well over 100k.

The warning was to play it 'safe' until we see more or less failures with the Steel pulleys.
