so if you if i raised my shift points to lets say 6000 would i get an increase only reving 100 more rpm'*? Because after i get my manifolds ported that is my next thing rockers and a pcm.

not really you would be out of your power band

and do the PCM first

Stock valvetrain power falls off around 5500 which is why GM set the shift points there. If you raise the shift points without adding power (cam, rockers) you will be out of the powerband for 400-500 rpms which would hamper performance.

5500?? You mean 5,900 right that is what mine shifts at.

You have a 95 I just noticed. Series 1 may be different or your rpm gauge may be off. Unfortunately, our rockers and PCM'* are only availble for series II engines. I believe Dr. Jay was sourcing some series I rockers though.

should my car be shifting at 5500 instead of 5900?

There are no PCMs available for 95 as far as I'm aware. I forgot L36'* were series 2 a few years before the L67 Series II made its appearance.

The PCM won't work on an NA '95, but the rockers should, shouldn't they? He would then have to get a custom chip to optimize them?

What kind of gain could you get from them without a new pcm. Does anyone make one for a 95?
