Default ELC over ride

This mod will over ride your ELC and pump up your back struts making the back of teh car VERY stiff. This will help prevent the car from rocking back when at the strip and will help with traction.

First, get the back end of your car in the air. Be sure to use jack stands if your using a jack.

This is all the parts you will need.

1 DPDT switch with center off
1 pack of shrink tube
some wire.
You will also need a soldering iron and some solder.

I mounted my switch inside my arm rest, you can mount it anywhere you wish.

Now you will need to get your wires from the outside of the car, to the inside. No need to drill a hole. Behind the right rear wheel you will see a bundle of wires go up in to the fender area. This comes out behind the jack box in the trunk. You can run your wires threw this hole.

Under the right rear of the car you will find the ELC control, it'* up by the control arm.

You can follow the wires back to the rear area of the car and you can splice in to them easily here.

Start with the yellow wire, you only want to tap in to this wire. You will need to cut it to get the shrink tube on, then reconnect it with the new wire and solder it good.

Once soldered slide the shrink tube over the splice and apply heat.

Now, cut your white wire. Put shrink tube on both wires and solder a new wire to each of these.

Here they are all spliced.

Tuck the wires inside the wire tube and then tape it up good. Remember, this is outside your car so protect it.

You will need to wire in your switch. You will have 3 wires from under the car, plus you will need to run a ground. This picture will show how it needs to be wired.

You will now need to find the best route to run your wires threw the car to the place your switch is mounted. I ran threw the trunk and came out under the rear seat and ran along the passenger side floor board. I then went under the front seat and entered the arm rest from below.

Here is an example of lift. This is in normal operation mode.

And this is after it'* been inflated.

This is a easy mod, takes very little time and very little money. It does take a few minutes to inflate.

Driving on the road with the back end inflated will cause your car to handle badly, so keep this for the track only. :burnout:
