Default CCV Delete on GM Engines – Worth It or Just Risky?

Hey guys,

I’ve been reading a lot about CCV delete on diesel and performance trucks and I keep seeing mixed opinions. Some people say it helps reduce oil buildup in the intake and keeps the turbo/intercooler cleaner, while others say it can cause pressure issues or long-term engine problems if not done correctly.

For GM diesel owners especially, has anyone here actually done a CCV delete or reroute on their truck? Did you notice any real performance gains, or was it mostly just cleaner intake components? Also wondering if it affects reliability, emissions compliance, or daily drivability over time.

Would you recommend a catch can or reroute instead? Would appreciate real-world experiences from GM truck owners.

While a lot of the detailed discussion out there centers around the f250 ccv delete, did you notice any real performance gains on your GM, or was it mostly just cleaner intake components? Also wondering if it affects reliability, emissions compliance, or daily drivability over time.

thanks in advance for any help
