Default Front End Rebuilds on 2007-2009 GM Trucks

Gentlemen (& Ladies),

I am looking at purchasing a new(er) truck for hauling purposes and would like to get your take on GM'*.

My father-in-Law runs a business where they use their trucks all day everyday and mostly for hauling trailers with a full load (10,000-15,000 lbs). He will only use Ford at this point because in the past when he ran 3500 Diesel GMC'* and Chevy'* (in 2007-2009) he was having to rebuild the front-ends of his trucks every year. He attributed the problems with towing the trailers.

I have scoured the net on this issue and have not come up with much to this exact scenario. Just the occasional front end noise, rattle, shake, etc. I wanted to know if anyone here has heard of this, and if so has GM fixed this issue in the later models (i.e. '11, '12, '13, '14)?

I am starting a Hauling business and love the GM products with their versatility, power, comfort, and great looks!

I appreciate any and all help here as I would like to get into a 1 Ton, Crew Cab, 4x4, DRW Long Bed Power House.

Not many I know work them so hard. If you really want the best setup I would find a solid axle 80s truck and a wrecked early 2000 dmax/Alison truck and combine the best of both

I use a 04 550 pretty hard and its got solid axle but you still have to put ball joints and links no matter if its ifs or solid. Its only got 82k. What do you consider rebuilding?
