Default VIN plate on 2000 Olds Intrigue

Folks -- anyone know where I can find the VIN plate on my 2000 Olds Intrigue?

I ask because Pennsylvania requires a rubbing of the actual VIN plate, like with a piece of paper and a soft pencil, to register the car. Yes, this is crazy. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Your VIN plate is actually down in the lower left hand side of the windshield. Right hand side if your standing outside of your car. But, I don't know how your going to get a rubbing of it. It'* in a very tight spot.

There surely must be an option besides a rubbing of the VIN plate. They know most VIN plates are behind the glass and inaccessible.
If you brought the car down there via towing or a trailer could they not just look at the VIN# ?

Yeah, you're right. I was hoping that was a sticker and there was a VIN plate somewhere else.

No way to get a pencil in there without taking off part of the dashboard.

Yes, there is an option: you can take the car to an "Auto Tag" place, and they will pretend to have a notary come out and look at the VIN on your car, but in fact they will just register the car for you for $125.00 extra.

My new plan: buy an embossing label maker, *make* an embossed VIN, and make a rubbing of that. Still $100 cheaper than going to a tag place.

Thanks all!

I would think a photo of the whole vehicle with with an insert pic of the vin # would be sufficient........could also take a pic of the SPID label....it has the VIN there too....
