tranny won't shift
I have a 95 cutlass that all of the sudden will not go in gear. It was working fine when I shut it off, then the next time I tried to go somewhere, it would not move. I got it to back up once but nothing in drive. I changed the fluid, which looked and smelled fine, and the filter but to no avail. I do not have a check engine light on either. Any ideas?

When you dropped the pan was there a lot of clutch material or possibly metal particles in the pan? Was the fluid level OK? I assume the linkage/cable is ok?
Which tranny is it? Does it have a dipstick?
'95 is a tough year to get codes sometimes....

(Provided there are no dreadful sounds coming from the car) Have you let the car warm up all the way and then tried it? Like let it run 30 minutes then try to see if it will go into gear?
