Had my '94 repainted, looks exactly the same color. Haven't put the dark blue dual pinstripes back on, but intend to. Found some used LSS emblems for the front fenders and put them back on. Couldn't find trunk emblems, so opted for a chrome Texas star instead. Really pisses off the rich drivers around here that they're behind an 'old' car, but sends them into the stratosphere to see a "Texas Edition" chrome star in front of them too.

Good lookin' car by the way.

Looks great! I like the debadged look, with the exception of the front grill. That would need a badge for me. Did you take any pics of the process? What kind of paint did you use?

I did not take pics of the process, it was the typical GM pealer, huge patches of paint gone with grey primer showing, roof, hood, trunk, and anywhere the sunshine more on it was pealing, It was fairly good looking when I got it but the florida sun soon took it'* toll and stared pealing

Since then, I've moved to Ohio, decided to just paint it... we used all power tools to strip it, PPG primer sealer, Base unmixed white base paint my brother had left over from his paint shop, and I bought Omni Clear and hardner

We did the car in 3 steps
Roof and rear quarters took a week, remove moldings, trim, sanding down, prime, and paint, next was doors, hood and trunk, removing all the trim and plastic, mirrors..etc...took the hood and trunk off, stripped down and redone, even down into the jambs... the paint was pealing everywhere, so it took some time.. got that all put back together, and then final state was to paint all the moldings while they were off the car, new front bumper cover and redid rear bumper cover, so almost 3 weeks off and on painting and working on it, it turned out great

I plan on getting the oldsmobile badge for the front grill center soon, and may have a place make up a few SUPER88 logo'* in a reflective silver or blk color 1" high lettering by 6"
maybe the 3.8 too

car only has 87k, so plan on running it a while, already have done all the intake gaskets, plentum, coils, radiator, heater core, fuel regulator, plug wires, idler pully, serp belt, elbos, and AC switch, just replaced the shrader valve low side was leaking off, so we sucked out the ac system to -30# and refilled the 134a W/oil, cooler ac now than it'* ever had. New calipers & Wheel cylinders, rotors/drums

only things left I'm thinking about replacing are the CSPS, I hear they go out around the miles it has, and maybe a fuel pump, rather replace beforehand than die along the road

She is not new, sporty, or anything fancy.. She paid for, and can go anywhere with out a worry
