I agree that this type of coil seldom gives trouble, and as I said earlier, I'm not sure if replacing the coil that had the slightly lower ohm reading was the cause, or if removing and installing the coils fix a bad connection, but the engine is running fine again.

hard to tell which, but im cheap so i always try free first, and most times its just a little corrosion that builds up
