Default 93 Olds 98 Regency dark greyish smoke out the exhaust

The car has been sitting for about 3 months and did not do this before being taken off the road for the summer. My co-worker bought a newer car and was planning on using the Olds as the "winter rat". Do series 1 have Intake issues?

He says there was no noticble gas smell but it did smell like oil burning and the engine itself seemed really hot even though his gauge read normal.

Bump for gearhead thoughts. My knowledge of series 1 is pretty low.

Do series 1 have intake gasket or other issues that may cause this?

I figured I might pull spark from one cylinder at a time to try an narrow down where the problem may be.

Any other ideas?

Thanks
Tim

i can say that the 3 that i own do not have intake issues. but, mine are 92s and a 93. i believe the later 94-95 ser 1 intakes may have tho.

that being a 93, id say no to the intake issue.

maybe run a scan to see if the o2 is toggling, or for any tsc'*
