Man, I did this years ago, so I can sympathize. I was underneath the Regal, with a crowbar (yes, the full metal kind, no plastic handle), and I think I was trying to either put a trans back in, or take one out.. can't remember. All I remember some 15 years later now, was the bar slipping, smacking me right below my left eye. I crawled out from under the car, pouring blood out, and grabbed a clean shop towel and held it there. I woke up passed out on the porch, with the towel soaked in blood, and got it on my shirt, hands, pants... but the bleeding had stopped. I went inside to see how bad it was, and remember my dad asking if I was ok. Being the stubborn kid, I told him I was fine, and never did let on about what happened. Never went to get stitches, although I should have. There is a tiny bit of a scar still there 15 or so years later. An inch higher, and I might have lost an eye!

I have a scar above my left eyebrow. I was using two crobars to remove a jaguar V12 head (those things get suck down on the studs real hard), and one slipped and went into my head right above my left eyebrow. Luckily I moved out of the way so it only split the skin pretty deep and didn't hit the bone, but damn did I bleed all over the place. Scar is still there.

Never hit myself in the face working on a car. Did try to snap a limp for firewood camping, and when it gave it came back at me and split/broke my nose. I took a tranny out of my '66 Satelite after some difficulty getting it out of the clutch spline, and when it came out I wasn't ready for the weight of it. Broke my lower arm.
