Ya that is good that you had little snow lately Justin.
It has just been clear and cold for about 2 weeks now
UNTIL this AM it started:

Maybe I should take a snow day and stay warm while sledding!

Wow the conditions were horrendous tonight. Granular snow mixed with freezing rain.
When I got off work tonight the Buick door had to be forced open with a loud crack.
Tried scraping glass, too thick, so forget it. 20 minuted of heat just to see out the windshield. The freezing rain continues through the night, they are throwing so much salt down here on the roads right now...what a night.

that snowmobile looks a little strange. they must be Canadian. they always seem to be able to find interesting things to do in the cold.

that crap sucks. why i m fortunate to have a garage, but i would at least have a carport or some sort of cover for my driver car, most of the crap(snow, ice) happens overnight here and just keeping that off goes a long way.

We had some of that nasty stuff two days ago, it has warmed up a little, and most has melted, but it is going to freeze again tonight, so I am sure there will be patches of ice here and there.

I have had my door do that same thing before when it was really cold, before it gets really cold I try to remember to put a little wd40 on the hinges and door latch, I usually forget to do so, but when I do it helps a little.

helps if you put some spray silicone or chapstick on the door seals

As long as my spray silicone is not frozen in the trunk, I will put some on the drivers door seals tonight. A lot of people were caught off guard last night as it was suppose to be only light flurries. Even though it was freezing rain starting at 5pm, they did not issue the freezing drizzle warning until 8pm last night...look out the window you crappy weathermen!!
They say the freezing drizzle is over tonight, -2 and light flurries, (sounds familiar) and then it is suppose to get into rain by Thurs, well above freezin by then.
Our roads are a real mess right now, they dont salt any side streets or plow ever. All I know is everything is white with a serious coating of ice.
Dont mind my rant..I am just feeling a little down right now !

Their excuse...sorry no budget for side streets and or we will run out of salt if we do them.
What ? Houses start at million dollars here, I guess we dont pay enough tax...
Just when u need it most once again, let down by city services!

These are the exact same conditions as last night.
And then u wonder why our insurance premiums are so high?
