Yall, I need to vent
This is the second board ive vented on!! Sorry Yall!!
i just talked to the dealership and they said that they cannot locate the red PONTIAC decal for my back bumper and are trying to say that it is aftermarket, which it prolly is, but that if they cant find one, they arent goingto put it on and i told them they will be keeping my car until they find one because they have to restore my car to the condition it was in when i brought it in to them! Now i am having to wait to talk to the adjuster to hear what she has to say.( I know they have to replace the aftermarket decal because my mom works for State Farm and says that is their policy is that the vehicle has to be returned to the owner in the exact condition it was in previous to the accident)! OOHHH im so p*d right now. I thought i was going to get my car back today. Sorry, just had to vent to someone!!!
I just posted this on GOClubgp also but dang, im upset because they are tryin to screw me over and i WILL NOT LET THEM!!!!!*as i head into a power trip* LOL what do yall think about this situation?

I don't know for a fact, but I really doubt that they have to replace any aftermarket decals. If that were the case, someone out there would be suing thier insurance company everytime a bumper sticker fell off....

i talked to allstate which is the insurance company for the woman who hit me, she told me to buy one off of Ebay and she would reimburse me the whole cost plus the cost of the dealer putting it on when i got it in so now i am a happy camper again. They have to replace afterrmarket stuff like that when you are hit by someone and your vehicle had it on it. If persay you added aftermarket chrome molding to the rear bumper of your car and got rearended, they would have to find new chrome moulding to put on there to restore it to the condition it was in previous to the wreck!!! That is what she and my mom told me so i am happy as long as it works that way!!

Jeff, are you talking about the "Grand Prix" trim lettering on the back?
If so, that is the way it came from the factory. I've seen many GPs with the red model script on the trunk...

Ah, OK, I see.
I wouldn't worry about it too much. Go ahead and take the advice of the insurance company, buy it from EBay, apply it yourself, and send the bill to them for reimbursement.
Just make sure to get that advice in writing or on tape.
BTW Tracy, are you and Sizzle coming?
