hey all. looking for lauren a new car. she really likes the malibu maxx, preferably under about 130k miles, the new impala under 140k, and old impala, 02-05 under 110k. simmilar cars can be considered, but she for some reason wont get a car older than 02 regardless of condition or miles.

or budget is about 4500.

if some of you in the surrounding areas could just do a quick craigslist search it would be greatly appreciated. im willing to drive up to about 5 hours away. i know as far as south, thats in northern Kentucky. any longer than that, and im looking at taking a day off work as im only off on tuesdays and fridays. thanks alot!

auto trader, you can put all your price and location in it. i came up with a ton of impalas by you. i would rather get it from a dealer at least you know what you are up against and if they want to stay in business a while they will at least try to work with you if there is an issue. craigslist who knows if they will even answer the phone after they got your money

Pick up a car in Phoenix and I will drive it to Chicago for you. On older cars, a car not from the North can make a big difference.

As Justin mentioned, Craiglist is loaded to the brim with con men selling cars. I actually like Ebay for searching, especially completed auctions. The completed auctions tell me what the cars are actually worth. Kelly Blue book is a fictional book, all fake to get one to pay more than a car is worth.

brakes are cheap maybe 200 and the rest can be cleaned up i think for very little. but seems they dont know anything and just want to get it sold, you might be able to get it for that
