So when I graduated highschool my Grandpa and my Grandma (in spirit) gave me 2000 for a computer for college, it was something my Grandma always wanted to give me but my parents never let them so I saved the money until now...

Nice looking PC

Upgrade to a 7200rpm drive though and keep the one that comes with it for backup.

I just did this..got a 7200 rpm drive and it tottally owns the 5400 that came stock with mine.

the 1GB stick of ram also helped a little but not nearly as much as upping the harddrive up.

yes the 1 gig stick of ram is a must have.... made a BIG diff in my confuser.. but the 7200 hdd i wouldnt go with. well thats is you use it unpluged alot like i do. only cause it will eat your battery..... but if you leave it pluged in all the time you are golden but then why buy a laptop....

but i got one for them christmas presents about 3 weeks ago too....
weirod how all i got for xmas in dec was a death cert for my dad and divorce papers from the wife but in feb i get a laptop....... hmmm i think feb will be the new xmax for me for now on!!!!!!!

Never. if I am going to leave it in the car it will be locked in the trunk.

yeah but I cant justify the cost for a computer that I will carry around and not just use, but USE.
