Wow tested a 87 mustang 5.0 manual today.........
Well my friend and I tested a 1987 ford mustang today and wow this mustang really gave er. He wants a mustang now for having fun with we never anticipated a 87 stang so fast it had only flowmasters and a K+N filter. This car had a amazing roar to it and when reved the whole car jolted from the amazing tourque.... What do those older 5.0 mustangs run in the quater mile and whats the hps and tourque on those babys..and would they beat his 1999 gtp? The stang was a manual.......we never anticipated the car kicking out at 15 mph when not even to the floor he wanted 3500 for it with 87k on it

hah yeah 5.0 performance parts are a dime a dozen. It became annoying as I was shopping for my parts and see something for mine 3-4x as much as for a 5.0 or a 350. Not sure the difference in years but in '86 Road & Track got a 0-60 of 6.7secs and a 1/4 in 15.3. Beat the IROC-Z they ran against it.

Even my old GTO was the same way, you had to do a lot of searching for parts to fit... I think that'* was made if even more fun. Anybody can do a SB Chev or a Ford 5.0, what kind of a challange is that?
