Pontiac kept the muscle car alive until the end of the 74 model year when they killed the Super Duty 455. That engine is considered by most to be the last true muscle car motor.

That supposed 455 looks a Lot like an Olds 403

no that a 455 very far from a 403 and very easy to see the difference a buick engine the distributor is in the front the only one in the GM line up and a olds engine they have the oil tube in front

1972 was a low compression GM drop the compression in 1971 one year before chrysler and ford but still a 455 buick is king in the torque dept

I beleave '73 was the last year for that motor
