Default I can see for miles and miles

I done the quad hi beam mod today, and after special request, here are some pictures It took me about 4 hours to do this..3 and a half more than I was expecting. I first got set back when I couldn't find any connectors home for the relay, so I soldered my wires to it. Then, I couldn't find any screws big enough to mount the relay where I wanted to, but I eventually found what I needed.. After everything was all bolted up, and wired in, I pulled the switch. Low beams-check. Pull high beam switch.. high beams, check, no low beams. Damn. After another hour or so of re-checking all my connections, and trying different grounding points, I still couldn't get it to work. At this point, my stomach was telling me that it was time to eat, so I cleaned up and got ready to tackle it again after some grub. I eventually found a good ground..under one of the bolts that mount the fender.. I plan on changing this as its in a bad place and might cause some problems down the road. Anyways, this was my result:

And a little comparison to my dad'* all stock 2004 Century.

Low beams, my 4300k HIDs on the left, his stock halogen on the right.

My quad highs, with stock halogens in the highs, his stock highs.

No true night shots yet. I'll try to get them tomorrow. It was too dark out for my camera by the time I had everything cleaned up.

I also plan on getting better bulbs for the highs, either HIDs or Silverstars/something similar, when I get some money to spare.

Thanks. The stock headlights are terrible. I really don't know whats wrong with them. I've tried aiming them a hundred times, and tried a couple different bulbs, but that started getting expensive, so I just went with the HIDs. They're far from perfect..they don't seem to have the distance that they should, but its much better than stock. The highs weren't as bad, but they're not great. Those lights are a bitch to aim right. When the lows are actually good, the highs are way off.

yeah i know..i had to aim my friends headlights on her century, and once i got the lows where i wanted them, the highs were off..so then id adjust the highs and the lows would be off..its like theres no happy medium

then i broke the adjuster on the right casing and the whole casing dropped wont about a 1/4"

me and centurys dont always get along..and i couldnt help myself to make a bra comment lol

That sucks. I almost broke one of my adjusters one night. It was freezing out, and I was getting impatient.

I don't blame you for makin a comment on the bra. lol It was on the car when I got it, but I took it off. The last time I washed the car, I noticed a lot of rock chips along the edge, and the scratches and fading from it seemed a lot more noticeable, so I put it back on. Whenever i wash the car now, I take it off and clean it separately to make sure it don't get moldy and dirty underneath.

I thought all the mini-quad cars were like it from factory? Its definitely worth doing to the GA, if your lights are half as bad as mine were. It don't cost that much..about $30 if you don't have any wires, and around $15 if you do.

Quad highs and fogs? Damn, that would be real bright.

Do you have projectors or hid'* in your grand am? I found that the lows filled in the space left behind from the highs. The GA probably has headlights that are actually effective from the factory. lol
