It is indeed their loss. No questions asked. I would return them, that'* just how I am, but I'd be under absolutely NO obligation to do so.

If I were obligated to pay for them, that'd be the same as me boxing up and shipping a rock to someone, and THEN sending them a bill for $500.00. Can't do it.

for the people that think keeping them is wrong and mean and stupid and just not right..

Think of all the times when you have been screwed by some Company with Returns or warranty stuff...
Think about the times when they forgot something and you have to go through a big hassle or wait 2 weeks to get the part...
I think the once in a LONG while when a company sends you something extra, i think its 100% fine to keep it.

and one last thing.. the way the world ins now and the way iv been seeing it and the way i see the Rich and wealthy people make it.. its either Kill or be killed...

Yes i sounds harsh but im not saying go out on purpose and hurt people and take advantage of people, im just saying that when you have one up on someone or something, Do it.

The world doesn't owe you anything though. It morally would not be right to keep those of which was gave to you in error.

Sense when is Newegg.com the world ?

anyway.... morally is thrown around way to much.
is it morally right for my Job to Take away my 401K... no
is it morally right for my credit card Co. to charge me a late fee then a over limit fee.... no...

Newegg is Such a HUGE company now that little bit of $ is like $5 to you or me... Not going to hurt us

Now if some new company that was small and 1,000$ was going to effect them.. then yea i might feel diffrent and then return them.

Newegg.com isnt the world, your wording "some company" is a generalization, hence I said the world, thats what I meant.

I'm sure everyone on here has been screwed over once or twice in a big way.

But, thats not the point of this at all, personally, I do not think it would be the right thing to do, keeping the "free" items. Nothing is free, it all has a cost attached, some how, some way that company will find a way to make up for lost profits, and someone else will get screwed in the end, its a vicious cycle.

anyway, thats just my .02

It doesn't matter what company it is. Right is right and wrong is wrong. Yes, we've all been screwed over but it doesn't make it right to screw someone else over.

One time I ordered something and the company sent me 2 of them. I called them and told them about it. They told me I could send it back but I told them I would not pay for shipping, they then made me an incredible offer to sell it to me and I agreed. I had a similar situation recently where the company sent me someone else'* huge order and I called to notify them. They were going to have DHL pick it up but learned that DHL would charge them almost as much as the items were worth so they offered me the items for a 1/4 of what I paid for my original items and I got 5 extra items too.

In my cases it paid to be honest.

Yes but don't forget in this case Newegg was willing to pay shipping.

think about if 100 people for 4 extra lap tops at 400 each thats 160000 and we know it was more then 100 might be more like 500 orders were bunged up. So if 25% of them orders don't come back well at least they have insurance.
