Don't have much experience with the Lucerne (we rented one at one point, it was nice, but meh), however my dad owned a '97 Ultra for a while until he was broadsided by a Ford ranger doing 50mph. My dad walked away, the other guy didn't. (https://www.gmforum.com/lounge-99/pa...a-down-295956/)

My bucket list has a nice low mileage 97-2005 Ultra on it.
