Actually it does work. As of this past July 4th weekend, it worked again. We go out of state every year at the 4th to Ohio. The car takes a beating and we end up with lots of misc. cans (pop, beer) in the cooler. Then they get mixed together with the cans around the house when we clean out the car. Eventually they all make it back to Meijer and they take all of them, regardless of origin.

This isn't something we maliciously plan, it just happens that way.
