Yeah i've heard when you are shifting you really have to keep it up there to do any good, yeah i don't wanna do 9000 RPMs in any off the shelf parts engine... Meh

The red is 9000 power peak is at 8300 and the power doesn't start to come until 6000. There is a fuel cutoff at the redline of 9000 so its not like you are going to squeeze any better times out of it that way.

I like to have conversations in my car where I can actually hear people. I think I'll stick with my low revving car. 8900 RPM would scare the crap out of me.
Exactly. 6200 in the GTP scares the crap out of me, and that is only 2/3 of what the little honda revs to. The blower is whining like crazy (they do that when running 15psi), and it sounds like its gonna blow up, and it is definately loud. 9000 even in a N/A engine would definately scare the crap out of me. Knowing me, If I had one I would probably shift at 7500 at WOT just because I wouldn't want to hear it rev any higher. I don't care how strong the parts are in an engine, they don't last very long at 9000rpms.

Yeah, more nasacar engines fail at daytona @ 9k RPMS in cool february night at Daytona then during the day at a short track at 6-7k RPMS on a hot day.
