No viruses or spyware here. I've been around it enough at work to know what'* out there and what not to click on. I'm gonna start chopping away the security policies because security on Vista is TIGHT. There is a lot of things to watch what you do, and it gets rather annoying. However, it will be safe for a common user to have so they don't bomb their system.

Maybe I missed it, but do they have a release date for it yet? I may have to buy a computer soon, and I would like Vista on a new computer....

Early '07....might be just a tad to late. I might just have to make my Ubuntu laptop work for college.

SORRY...but IE will always suck.
For the average consumer, IE is fine.
For a developer supporting web standards, IE SUCKS.

take document.all for example....and the XMLHttpRequest having to be instanciated via ActiveXObjects

I have been testing it out for just under a year, I still however have switched back to XP. It runs good but slower. I never have once had it crash on me, it might sorta lock up for a bit but it will recover!!!

I hope they slim a few things down though.
