Default Windows Vista

I got a legit copy of Windows Vista to try out. I installed it on my old computer. Needless to say I am more than impressed with it. It'* still in Beta but I love all the new features and new layouts. How did I get this you ask? Well lets just say working in IT has its benefits.

I took a few screenshots. I still have yet to dig deep in this system. I plan on tearing it apart.

IE 7 is amazing. It makes IE 6 look like crap and makes Firefox look like a joke IMO.

I'm in the process of DL'ing Office 2007 Beta to try out.

I can't wait until the public version is released.

Ya out drawed me bandit, LOL maybe thats why it ran quirky for me . My old compiuter I just switched up from was only 256M RAM, now I have a Gig Ram now and wonder how long that will be sufficient. Jeeeez. They make it and developers find ways to use it.

IE 7 is integrated in Vista much like IE 6 in XP.

As for performance, it doesn't run perfect because there are no compatible chipset drivers for my board out, amongst other drivers. Memory useage is high, and that'* why they reccommend 1GB. I put this OS on my old computer which has a AMD 2500+ with 1GB of DDR400. It runs fairly well.

Remember, it'* still in Beta testing too. It'* not gonna be optimized for performance.

My main computer is a AMD Dual-core 3800+ with 2GB of memory and a 10,000 RPM HD. It would easily run mighty fast on that.

No it wasnt an OS just a beta IE7 and as mentioned so quirky I ripped it back out the next day. Lucky it came out alot easier than a IE5 beta that wouldnt take NO for an answer. Tha t one cost me a reformatt and alot of info lost. So is the test Vista now available on the web or just for developers yet. I loooooove new!!1

not to sure it will run fast on it right now, as its still a beta so i think it has nothing to do with the spped of the PC right now it just had bad memory problems, but if it gets better i might start to like it, cuz i would like to see ho it runs on my main PC AMD dual cor 4400 (2MB L2 cache) and 2GB ram... so on....

i do like how some of it looks and i like some of those new screen savers too

Yea, the new features are really cool. And the look is quite nice ... much more sleek looking compared to XP.

You won't be able to find this on the web. You can get it if you have a MSDN license and such. I have a MSDN Student license, but I don't even have access to get that. I just know people.
