FINALLY!

I have had about enough of the lying, disrespect, and failure to use the resources supplied. Good God, I thought I was annoying on here, I think we reached a new level. I don't even know what happened behind the scenes...

Here was my last reply to cvc in his post entitled: "How many here have not changed UIMs and have high mileage" :

cvc,as I see it, the problem is that you are arguing with the same people you are asking to help you. And, whether or not you realize it, by your actions here, you have been most offensive to the very people who could help you the most. You have done this: by first, based on your personal experience, arguing that the L36 UIM /LIM and Dex are not real problems, while the folks you are arguing with have vastly more collective experience and have been working to find lasting, inexpensive repairs for these problems for at least the past two years. Second, by refusing to believe that your cars are likely to fail soon (see title of this post). Third, by asking technical questions, then not properly reviewing the information provided, then repeating questions, as if they had not been answered. Fourth, by seeking private help from the same people whose advice you have ignored publicly. Fifth, by implying that clear instructions are not available to you for doing this work yourself.

If you don't believe you have a problem, then you need no help to repair it. And, when you have conceded that a repair may be necessary, it seems to me that you expect someone here to walk you through the work step by step without making an effort on your own to learn how to do the work. Have you purchased a Chilton'* 28200? Have you checked one out at your library? Many people have successfully repaired their UIM/LIMs by starting with Techinfo article 38 and following the links. This site is full of detailed help, but it requires some effort on your part. Use the search feature.

We enjoy helping people, but frankly, we don't get paid to do this, and no one can force us to do it. We are not required to help people who are rude to us, or who ignore the advice we have provided.

I just want to make it clear that CVC had a couple Gearheads & an Administrator (not Willwren) quite frustrated well before Willwren got involved.

My question is, if there were in fact members sending PMs to assist cvc, why on earth were they done that way, rather than in threads where he was asking questions. As was mentioned to cvc...we gearheads, the admins, and moderators have lives outside the forum, and can not, nor would we want to, spend all of our time here. If you want to be helpful, help everyone by posting in the thread. That is why we send people to the proper forum to post the thread - so that everyone learns from it, which is one of the main reason this forum exists!

Thanks for explaining that, gentlemen. Sometimes we wonder what'* going on behind closed doors, and it'* nice to know when there is a good reason to give someone the axe. We appreciate all the work you guys and gals do. Rest assured that most of us are extremely grateful that you donate your time and energy to this goofy little thing we call BC

Thank you all for your understanding, and particularly to the Gearheads who dealt with a great deal of frustration behind the scenes before Admin intervention.

ESPECIALLY during the holidays.

Bump to the top. I think it'* important for other members to understand how things actually work behind the scenes in cases like this.

*cough*lol. Yes, everything should be public. That is why we stress using the search button. And the search button won't be able to do its job without people posting their problems in public.
