I had to work 7AM - 2PM today. Aboslutely no orders to do when we I left work and the FEDEX trailer didn't have room for one more box
Working today didn't really bother me, but having to be at work Friday morning @ 7AM SUCKS!!!! Yeah, and the company I work for (Tastefully Simple) soo wants us employees to have lots of time with family over the holidays (all office people have off, and us lowly warehouse workers have to be there Friday or we won't get our holiday pay -asshats!!!!) <--- I can't use that emiticon often enough when I think about my current job and then to think after 3 weeks of applications, resumes, interviews and job offers the only jobs that pay better than my current $7.28 hr all require mandatory weekends and shitty hours.

Ok, I'm done ranting.

I had to work 8am to 4am today at the Liquor mart. I love the way people think I give a crap why their air miles card is wrecked or how bad shopping has been but my favorite question has bee "have you been busy today?" no maam people like to line up and wait and I look exhausted for the hell of it.

That sounds like you had a "Here'* your sign" kind of day. :?

I'm just to glad to se that I wasn't the only SMUCK that got up early to go to work today now! I think I passed a whole 2 other cars on the highway this morning on the way to work too!

Woo Hoo!!!

It look'* like I'm going to have to stay 16 hrs. And if they force the dayshift guy to work over tonight, he'll end up working 32 hrs because he stayed for somebody on a higher job and he has no relief tonight or in the morning so I'll end up working at least 32 hrs also. I hate management they had some people (6) they could have put on shift but some of them are "buddy - buddy" with the Woodyard Manager or his Assistant and since they're on straight days they get 4 days off for Christmas and the senoir operators suffer.

I had to work last night straight through until 6:oopm this evening. I ate Christmas dinner with my family and now we are about to exchange gifts. I do however, have to work tomorrow evening to get to Detroit by 4:ooam Friday morning.

Not working, but i have the flu that'* goin around, the one that makes you feel like you're gonna die....and i think i'ma go back to bed cause it'* too much effort to sit up

i worked 12-6pm today, in the last minute shopping rush... not fun...
